The Commission held its 81st session at the Headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna from 27 July to 7 August 2015. The main part of the session was dedicated to the comprehensive review of the common system compensation package. Under this agenda item, the Commission reached agreement for final recommendations to the General Assembly on a unified scale for staff in the Professional and higher categories, on related issues emanating from such a scale which would no longer differentiate between staff with and without dependents, on education grant, repatriation grant, and location specific and relocation-related entitlements. Under this item, the Commission also reviewed the competitiveness and sustainability as well as the financial implications of the proposed compensation package.
Another important issue discussed by at this session was the mandatory age of separation at age 65 for all current staff.
In addition, the Commission approved the salary surveys of best prevailing conditions of employment in London and New York.
